Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is the Difference Between EACH Mode and Quad Mode When Recording?
    • You can view the full screen or the quad screen of the surveillance video recording if the video is recorded in EACH mode. When it is recorded in QUAD mode, the video recording can only be played in QUAD screen.

  • How many web users can connect to the EB1104NET?
    • Currently remote web connection is limited to ONE user at a time.

  • Remote client can't see any video when EB1104NET is set on Motion Recording
    • When the EB1104NET is set on Motion Recording, a Remote Client will not be able to view the stream video or stop the recording to use DVR State Control until a Motion is triggered at the sight. This is a limitation of the EB1104NET. Therefore, it is not recommended that Motion Recording is use when the scene is mostly static throughout the day; otherwise the Remote Client may never get video or control over the EB1104NET remotely.

  • How do I reset the password to factory default?
    • Call our technical support department for an explanation of how this is done.

  • Does the Hyperthreading feature need to be disabled in order to playback recorded files via a USB connection?
    • Yes, you will need to disable the Hyperthreading feature.

  • What hard drives do you recommend using with the EB1104NET Standalones?
    • Currently, our testing has shown that Western Digital hard drives do not work efficiently with the EB1104NET Standalones. We recommend using Maxtor, Seagate, or Hitachi hard drives only.

  • Can you listen to the 1-channel audio on the EB1104NET from a remote location?
    • Yes. When you use the 1-channel audio capability on the EB1104NET you can hear that channel of audio from a remote location.

  • I am Getting "Record Fault! No Record Channel" Error, and None of the Buttons on the DVR or Remote Are Responsive
    • This problem is caused if the removable bay isn't locked properly.

  • What Format Does the EB1104NET Record In?
    • The EB1104NET records in Motion-JPEG. When you connect it to the PC, you can save the video file as .avi and the image file as .bmp.

  • The Video Color is Not Correct or Off. What Do I Do?
    • When you are in Each Mode, select a camera. Then, press on SELECT button to see a video quality setting screen. You can modify HUE, Saturation, Contrast and Brightness. The default value for each item is 5. Press UP and DOWN to move the cursor to the item you want to change and press on SELECT to change the value. Click on MENU to exit the setting screen. When you are in Quad Mode, you can change the video value setting for all camera at the same time.
