How to set up your SNIPER DVR for audio surveillance
1) Assemble and power the microphone kit (sold separately) as per instructions.
2) Plug the speakers into the green audio jack on the back of the PC. Make sure they are powered and on.
3) Plug the microphone audio connector into a white RCA connector on the back of the Sniper DVR. NOTE: Make sure the connector is white and NOT yellow.

4) In the software, click Control and Setup.
5) Click Device at the top.
6) Click Audio on the left.
7) Enable the audio channel by setting that channel to a specific camera. Note: If you aren’t sure which audio channel you have plugged into, try enabling audio in all of them.
8) Click ok; you should hear audio on that camera when you click on it.
To hear audio using the Remote Client Software, click Control. Next, right-click on a video window and chose “enable audio.”
Troubleshooting Audio:
If you can’t hear sound, test your speakers:
1) Exit the software by clicking the power button and choosing exit (you’ll be asked for a password).
2) Click the Windows Start Button.
3) Click My Documents.
4) Double-click My Music.
5) Double-click Sample Music.
6) Double-click New Stories (Windows Media Player may ask for your preferences at this time; follow the on-screen instructions).
7) If you can’t hear audio, check your speaker connections. Also ensure that the computer is not muted (check the volume control by the clock in the lower-right hand corner).
